Viper’s Bugloss ‘Echium vulgare’

Pink buds opening to a glorious display of vivid blue. Known as viper’s bugloss, blueweed, Snake Flower and Blue Devil. It is a biennial. The pollen is blue but the filaments of the stamens remain red, contrasting against the blue flowers.

It flowers between May/June and September. Also likes chalky soil or dry grassland.
