Introducing our Apex Nesting Box, meticulously designed to provide a safe and appealing habitat for swifts. With great attention to detail, our Apex Box is crafted to meet the unique nesting requirements of these sociable birds.

Constructed using high-quality and sustainably sourced 18mm ply, our Apex Nesting Box is built to withstand the elements while blending into the exterior of your building. Its durable construction and design offer excellent protection from the elements, providing a cosy and secure space for swifts.

Designed with their unique needs in mind, this box features specially designed entrances perfectly suited for Swifts. There are internal nesting cups, filled with sterile feathers (rescued from what otherwise would be waste).

Installing our Apex Box is a straightforward process. The mounting plate (included) slots into a hole on the backside of the box. This allows you to mount the plate, then offer up and attach the box. A much easier process than trying to mount the box directly. The box comes with clear instructions and all the necessary fixings for quick and hassle-free installation.

This item comes as either a 42 degree or 45 degree angle option.

Placing Your Apex Nesting Box:

1. Optimal Height: Hang the nesting box at an ideal height, typically around 5 to 7 meters (16 to 23 feet) above the ground. This elevation allows swifts easy access and protection from potential predators.

2. Orientation: Position the Apex Box to face an open area with a clear flight path, enabling swifts to effortlessly enter and exit the box during their high-speed flights.

3. Sheltered Position: Choose a location that offers protection from strong winds and direct sunlight, ensuring a comfortable and thermally stable environment inside the box.

4. Clear Approach: Ensure there are no obstructions or branches that might impede swifts’ flight path or access to the nesting box, ensuring a clear and unobstructed entry.

5. Building Placement: Mount the Apex Nesting Box on the exterior of your building, preferably on the left-hand side, following the recommendations for swifts’ nesting preferences.
