Teasel ‘Dipsacus fullonum’

Tall biennial with conical, prickly flower heads banded with purple. Can be dried. Looks superb with the setting sun as a background. Gold Finches adore the seed. Commonly known as Wild Teasel or Fuller’s Teasel, the seeds are an important winter food resource for some birds. Teasels are often grown in gardens and encouraged on some nature reserves to attract them.
