Sorbus aria ‘Lutescens’ Whitebeam

A spring stunner with silver leaves and high wildlife value

Also known as Whitebeam ‘Lutescens’, this elegant tree brings year-round interest and serious wildlife appeal. In spring, it bursts into life with creamy white flowers that attract bees and hoverflies, followed by soft silver-grey foliage that shimmers in the light.

By autumn, its red berries become a feast for thrushes, blackbirds, and waxwings, making it an excellent tree for feeding hungry birds as the seasons change. Compact and hardy, it’s a great fit for medium gardens, wildlife hedges, or planting near seating areas where its colour and birdlife can be fully appreciated, Supplied in a 12 litre container.

Joel says:

“One of my favourites for softening a space. The silver foliage catches the light and the berries bring the birds in—what more could you want?”
