The first sign of spring’s return.
Galanthus nivalis - our much-loved UK native Snowdrop - brings a sense of quiet joy and resilience to the garden. With its dainty, nodding white flowers often emerging through frost and snow in January to February, it’s one of the earliest and most symbolic flowers of the year.
Snowdrops thrive best in moist, humus-rich soil in partial shade and are ideal for naturalising under trees, in borders, or alongside paths where their gentle beauty won’t go unnoticed. Over time, they will form beautiful drifts, especially when planted in groups.
These bulbs are grown peat-free and pesticide-free, helping to protect the delicate soil life and early-season pollinators that depend on clean, chemical-free habitats.
“Snowdrops remind me that winter isn’t forever. They’re one of the first things I look for in the new year, and because they’re a native, they slot perfectly into the wilder garden - especially around the base of trees or by a pond edge.”
