Jack-go-to-bed-at-noon. Yellow daisy flower with narrow sepal-like bracts projected from the yellow florets. Common names include Jack-go-to-bed-at-noon, meadow salsify, showy goat’s-beard or meadow goat’s-beard. The flower heads only open in the morning sunshine, hence the name ‘Jack go to bed at noon'.
