Camomile or Chamomile! (Chamaemelum nobile) is a beautifully low-growing, native British wildflower known for its soft feathery foliage, dainty white-and-yellow daisy-like blooms, and its soothing scent. A member of the daisy family (Asteraceae), it thrives in sunny, well-drained spots and is ideal for wildlife-friendly lawns, herb gardens, and pollinator planting schemes.
This variety is the true native perennial camomile, sometimes known as Roman Camomile, and spreads gently to create a soft, wild carpet that buzzes with bees in summer. It’s particularly loved by solitary bees, hoverflies, and other small pollinators, while its low mat-forming habit provides shelter for insects at ground level.
Grown in peat-free compost, our Camomile plants are available as robust super-plugs or in 9cm pots, ready to plant into borders, lawn edges, containers, or herb spirals.
Loved by bees
Peat-free and pollinator-safe
Great for softening paths, borders, and mini wild lawns
❗Note: This is not the tall, annual German variety used for tea, but the native creeping camomile. While often used in herbal lawns and aromatherapy planting, we advise against ingestion unless grown specifically for culinary use.
