Nepeta ‘Six Hills Giant’, commonly known as catmint, is a hardworking, nectar-rich perennial that quietly gets on with feeding wildlife for months on end.
From late spring through summer, soft violet-blue flowers rise above silvery-green foliage, drawing in bees, butterflies, hoverflies and other pollinating insects in impressive numbers. It forms relaxed, informal clumps that weave beautifully through wildlife borders, cottage gardens and naturalistic planting schemes.
This is a tough, resilient plant that copes well with dry conditions once established and needs very little attention. Cut it back after flowering and it will often reward you with a second flush later in the season - much to the delight of hungry pollinators.
Nepeta ‘Six Hills Giant’ is an excellent choice for anyone wanting long-lasting colour, movement and wildlife value without the need for constant maintenance.
