Make a bold statement in a small space with Malus Aros®, a striking modern crab apple variety admired for its dramatic purple foliage and masses of spring blossom. In early spring, Aros® bursts into clusters of deep pink buds that open into vibrant white flowers, providing a vital early nectar source for bees, hoverflies and other pollinators.

Through summer, its dark, rich purple leaves create beautiful contrast in the garden and offer shelter for beneficial insects and nesting birds. Come autumn, small deep red crab apples appear and persist into winter, offering a valuable snack for blackbirds, thrushes and other hungry garden birds. Please Note: Our Specialist Nursery trees are grown and supplied seasonally. During the summer growing period, deliveries pause while the nursery focuses on nurturing the next season’s stock. Orders placed after 1 June may therefore be held for delivery from August onwards.

Joel says: “Aros® is a real show-off - gorgeous purple leaves, blossom for pollinators and shiny red fruits for the birds. Small enough to fit anywhere but always gets noticed." Supplied in a 12 litre container.
