Placing Your Box:

1. Height: Hang the Little Owl Nesting Box at a height of 2 to 4 meters (6 to 13 feet) from the ground. Little Owls prefer nesting at low heights in trees or on man-made structures such as barns or outbuildings.

2. Open Habitat: Position the box in an open habitat, preferably in areas with scattered trees, hedgerows, or low bushes. Little Owls are often found in farmland, parkland, or open countryside, where they can hunt for their preferred prey, such as insects and small mammals.

3. Orientation: Face the entrance of the box towards a safe and sheltered direction, away from prevailing winds and harsh weather conditions. This helps protect the interior and ensures a comfortable environment for the nesting owls.

4. Clear Flight Path: Ensure there are no obstructions, such as branches or wires, obstructing the flight path to the box. Little Owls require a clear approach and departure route for easy access.

5. Privacy and Seclusion: Choose a location away from high human traffic areas or places with frequent disturbance. Little Owls prefer quiet and secluded environments for nesting and hunting.
