Lavender ‘Munstead’ is a classic, early-flowering lavender with a softer, more relaxed habit than some other varieties, making it a favourite in wildlife-friendly gardens.

Its fragrant, pale violet-blue flowers appear earlier in the season than many lavenders, providing an important early nectar source for bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. Compact and well-behaved, it works beautifully in borders, along paths, gravel gardens and mixed wildlife planting.

Like all lavenders, ‘Munstead’ thrives in full sun and free-draining soil. Once established, it is drought-tolerant and requires very little maintenance beyond a light trim after flowering to keep it neat and healthy.

A dependable, gently informal lavender that supports wildlife while bringing structure and scent to the garden.
