Lavender is one of those plants that feels almost too familiar - until you pause beside it on a warm day and realise what’s really happening.

Lavender ‘Hidcote’ is a small, beautifully aromatic perennial that quietly becomes a gathering place for wildlife. From midsummer onwards, its deep purple flower spikes hum with life: bees, hoverflies, butterflies, and all the little pollinators that keep a garden moving.

This is a plant that earns its keep. It thrives in sun, copes well with poorer soils, and returns each year with the kind of steady, dependable flowering that wildlife gardens need - not just a brief burst, but a season of nectar.

Plant it along paths, in borders, near seating areas, or woven into a wilder planting scheme where scent and structure matter as much as colour. Lavender may be well-loved, but in the right garden it’s never ordinary.

A simple perennial, beautifully chosen - for people, for pollinators, and for the life in your borders.
