While not a native, Ginkgo trees are incredibly resilient, low-maintenance and tolerant of urban conditions. Their leaves provide seasonal cover for insects, and mature specimens can support a surprising range of wildlife. Slow-growing and easy to manage at around 6–8 metres tall over many years.
