Cowslip ‘Primula veris’

From £1.80

Primula veris.  Height 7-20 cm.  Flowers April-May.

The cowslip, Primula veris, is one of our most beautiful native primula species. It has fresh green  oval shaped leaves leading to several flower stems, each topped with blooms both fragrant and a deep yellow in colour.

Primula veris is most happiest in moist soil, in partial shade. It’s best grown in groups.

A great addition around the edge of a pond.  Let plants self-seed after flowering and mulch annually with well-rotted compost or manure.
